Description
Auguste PAILLETTE
Plate brooch in platinum 850°°° with openwork geometric design enhanced by black enamel and pavé-set with brilliant-cut (old-cut) and 8/8-cut diamonds, including three larger diamonds in the centre.
Auguste Paillette's hallmark.
French work, 1920-1930.
Weight of the three main diamonds: approx. 0.60 - 0.60 - 0.30 carat.
Gross weight: 12.79 gr.
Size: 4.9 x 1.9 cm.
Missing a small diamond, a replacement white stone, microchips in the enamel, traces of soldering on the reverse because the pin was mounted later.
Note :
Auguste Paillette obtained his inscription in 1921. This fine jewellery house produced a wide range of jewellery in a pure Art Deco style, including brooches, bracelets and earrings. He notably worked for René Boivin.
