First Empire 1804–1814 Set of 3 medals in gold, silver and bronze, 1804, commemorating the coronation celebrations at the Hôtel de Ville in Paris, AU 36.43 g. by Brenet, 36 mm Obverse: NAPOLEON JOSEPHINE: side-by-side busts of Napoleon, wearing a laurel wreath, and Josephine, wearing a diadem and draped in a robe, facing right // Reverse: FIXA PERENNIS IN ALTO SEDES: a standing laurelled eagle facing left in its nest, head to the right, wings outstretched; in the exergue: FÊTES DU COURONNEMENT / DONNÉES / À L’HÔTEL DE VILLE / AN XIII.
