Vittorio Emanuele I 1802–1821 5 Lire 1821, Type II, Turin, AG 25 g. Obverse: VIC EM D G REX SAR CYP ET IER Head facing right; on the neckline: A LAVY; the date at the bottom. Reverse: DVX SAB GENVAE ET MONTISF PRINC PED & a crowned Savoy coat of arms, with the Collar around it; all set between two laurel branches. Below: L 5 Ref: Cud. 1142a (R3), p. 15 Grading: NGC MS 62 Condition: Superb Carlo Felice succeeded Vittorio Emanuele I just three months after the Royal Patent of 4 December 1820, which authorised the minting of this type.
