London, Groombridge and Sons, 1851–1857. 6 volumes in-8 in green calfskin, spined with faux raised bands decorated with gilt bird-shaped metal fittings, title labels in red calfskin, author’s name and volume number gilt, double gilt line on the cold-stamped covers (contemporary English binding). Spine worn; cap, joints and corners restored in shagreen. Complete with all 358 colour plates (nos. 1–357, including one duplicate). A few foxing spots here and there. Good overall condition. Ex-libris of Robert M. Tweedy.
