First edition. One of 120 copies printed on ‘Japon impérial’, the only large-format paper used. A collection of short stories on the theme of hunting: hunting with hounds, poaching, and shooting. Beautifully written, in the style of Maupassant’s tales. Paul Géruzez was the brother of Crafty, who illustrated his stories with pen-and-ink drawings of great finesse. A faint stain at the bottom of the front cover, a pen mark at the bottom of the back cover; the front cover and several sections are unbound.
