GRENIER (Francis). Album of hunting with guns and pointing dogs. Paris, Aubert et Cie, n.d. (c. 1840). Oblong quarto, romantic publisher’s binding, black cloth, title in gold lettering on the front cover. Title surrounded by a wide wood-engraved and coloured frame; 24 (of 33) lithographed and coloured plates. Spines and inner hinge split; foxing on the endpapers; a few small marginal stains in places; otherwise a fine copy of what Thiébaud considers to be Grenier’s finest album (Thiébaud, 476).
