3 parts in one small quarto volume, ivory vellum, smooth spine, black and blind-stamped decoration on the spine and covers (19th-century binding).
First French edition, featuring a beautifully engraved title page, 5 (out of 6) engraved plates, including one fold-out, and several figures within the text. The plate depicting the fittings is missing. Scattered minor foxing, fine marginal wormholes. A cut at the top of the title page and the first folio of the preface, with no loss of text.
