Extract from Miller’s Great English Dictionary, published in German by the Economic Society of Bern, translated from the German and expanded by a member of the said Society: to which has been added a description of how to cultivate vines in the canton, taken from the Economic Collection of the same Society. Yverdon, sn [Felice], 1768. 2 vols. in-12, iv-260 pp., [1] title leaf; 280 pp., [1] title leaf, half havana sheepskin with corner pieces, smooth spines decorated with gilt fillets and crosses, red title and volume number labels, lemon-coloured edges (contemporary binding). A fine copy. Edition compiled by the Swiss agronomist and pastor Jean Bertrand (1708–1777). Pages 160–280 of Volume II are devoted to viticulture in the canton of Bern. (Quérard VI, 132.
