ALSACE - HANSI (Jean-Jacques Waltz, known as). Le paradis tricolore. Paris, Floury, 1918. In-4, cloth binding with horizontal red and white stripes, decorated with circles and a colour floral design; the title of the work printed in colour on a paper label glued to the front cover; endpapers and half-leaves decorated with a large colour landscape (publisher’s binding). A small tear, with no loss, on one endpaper. First edition, illustrated with a large drawing reproduced in colour across a double page on the endpapers and half-leaves, 37 colour plates, a title page, a border repeated over two pages, 8 insert plates, 23 in-text plates and 3 vignettes. A rare copy in good condition in the publisher’s cardboard slipcase.
