A collection of the King’s edicts and proclamations, letters patent, and decrees of His Majesty’s Council, verified, published and registered at the Parliament sitting in Besançon, together with the regulations of that court. Since the annexation of Franche-Comté to the Crown. New edition, revised, corrected and considerably expanded. Besançon, Daclin, 1771–1778. 5 folio volumes, marbled fawn sheepskin, ribbed spine decorated with gilded plant motifs, red edges (contemporary binding). Scuffing to the covers, small wormholes on the front cover of volume II (chap. 4). This copy is missing the supplement to the first four volumes, which is Volume V. The final volume, unnumbered, comprises an alphabetical index of Volumes I to IV. A very fine copy.
