In-12, brown sheepskin, decorated ribbed spine, title label, speckled edges (contemporary binding).
Edition dated as the original, but in a smaller format. 7 engraved plates (out of 9), including 3 fold-outs.
Father de Colonia (1660–1741 or 1742) was a native of Aix, but taught rhetoric in Lyon for 10 years, followed by theology for 29 years; he was a member of the Academy of Lyon, and most of his early works are devoted to that city. (Augustin and Alois de Backer, I, 203)
Leather missing from the caps, worn corners, water-stain marks on some plates, one of which has been restored.
