Description
Orléans – GUYON (Symphorien). History of the Church and Diocese, City and University of Orléans. Orléans, Claude & Jacques Borde, 1650. 2 parts in one folio volume, brown sheepskin, spine with decorated raised bands, speckled edges (contemporary binding). Leather missing from both headbands, split joints, damaged corners. This copy bears the same date of 1650 for both parts, which means that the first volume is a rare reprint produced upon the publication of the second (it would normally bear the date 1647, as is usually the case). A copy from the Count of Poncins, with an ex-libris vignette pasted onto the front endpapers.
