Picardy – LA MORLIERE (Adrien de). The First [Second / Third] Book of Antiquities, Histories and the Most Remarkable Events of the City of Amiens, Poetically Set Forth. Third edition dedicated to the King. Paris, Menys [for Denys] Moreau, 1626–1627.
3 parts in one volume, in-4, red half-maroquin, spine with raised bands richly decorated, green title page, covers in blond calfskin, outer frame of gilded garland, inner frame of single dotted line and double gilded fillet, with corner fleurons, speckled edges (18th-century binding). First folios trimmed short at the top margin.
This final edition to appear during the author’s lifetime is normally considered the third, following those of 1621 and 1622.
