The volume is illustrated with a portrait of the author, a map, and 72 lithographs depicting the most remarkable sites, monuments and establishments of the Basque Country, Navarre, Béarn, Bigorre, the counties of Comminges, Foix and Roussillon, based on drawings by Antoine Ignace Melling.
