GOURDON de GENOUILLAC (Henri). Paris through the Centuries: A National History of Paris and the Parisians from the Founding of Lutetia to the Present Day. Paris, F. Roy, 1890–1893. 5 vols. in-4, red half-shagreen with corner pieces, ribbed spine, title, volume number and date in gold, gold fillet on the covers, gilt headband. The work is illustrated with 412 out-of-text engravings, including 112 coloured ones, and numerous engravings within the text. Published in instalments, it is complete with the new fold-out map bound at the end. Minor scuffing on some volumes, a few foxing spots here and there, a few instalments showing uniform foxing; otherwise, the set is very fresh.
