*Les Minutes parisiennes*. A set of 11 small paperback volumes, measuring 11.5 x 15.5 cm, with illustrations both within the text and as inserts. Paris, Ollendorff, 1899–1904. In very good condition, apart from some minor wear to the spines of the volumes *Midi*, *6 heures* and *6 heures du matin*, and a few very rare foxing spots. A complete collection of all 11 volumes in this charming series, painting a picturesque picture of Paris as the hours pass. Each volume combines text and illustrations, generally produced by different contributors, offering a glimpse of the neighbourhoods, activities and people who shape the capital, from the salons of the bourgeoisie to workers’ workshops. The other volumes planned to follow (9 am, 10 am, 11 am, midnight, 2 am, 3 am, 4 am, 5 am, 7 am to 11 am), although announced at the end of the sixth and eighth volumes, were never published.
