Paris: published by the authors; and Dijon: published by Frantin, 1779–1781. 3 vols. in-8, [4]-XII-C-384, XXIV-414-[2] and XI-[1]-420 pp., with 55 engraved plates (including 3 title-frontispieces and 2 frontispieces), porphyry calf, spine with raised bands decorated with gilt fleurons, triple gilt fillet framing the covers, gilt edges, interior lace (Thierry sc de Petit-Simier). Girdles slightly worn, a few foxing spots (more pronounced in vol. II), yellowed pages. Ex-libris of Yves Louis Mongrolle. An 8vo edition published on the same date as the original 4to edition.
