Map of France showing all municipalities; divided into departments, arrondissements and cantons, drawn up by Louis Capitaine … revised and expanded by Belleyme … acquired by the War Department in 1815; refined and extended beyond the Rhine and the Alps. 1816–1821. No place, no date. 2 slipcases in the style of large 8vo books, red percaline, with title labels. Complete set comprising an assembly chart and 25 maps on 22 sheets, folded and mounted on canvas, forming a large wall map of France. Each map bears a publisher’s label and a small vellum tab bearing the map number as inscribed on the cases. A fine copy. Some wear to the cases.
