Italy – GRASSI (Ranieri). The Main Buildings of Pisa and Some Views of the City. [continued]: The Three Doors of the Façade of the Illustrious Pisan Cathedral. Pisa, Ranieri Prosperi, 1831. 2 works in 1 folio volume, in light-coloured Russian half-leather, with a plain, decorated spine. The illustrations consist of a map of Pisa and 24 plates of views, some depicting multiple subjects, engraved by Ranieri Grassi after his own drawings and those of Francesco Giuliani, E. Gresy and G. L. Taylor, as well as three plates drawn and engraved in line by G. Rossi, depicting the bronze doors of Pisa Cathedral. A fine copy, with a few scattered foxing spots in the margins of some of the plates.
