The illustrations consist of 44 plates engraved from drawings by Morel-Fatio (43 double-page plates of ships, and a large fold-out depicting a famous battle between the Bayonnaise and the Embuscade in 1796). A fine copy preserved in its original percaline binding. Autograph dedication signed by the author. A few wormholes.
