VERNE (Jules). The Great Navigators of the 18th Century. Paris, Hetzel, undated [1879, AB catalogue]. Bound in a cartonnage cover featuring an armillary sphere on a brick-red background. The interior is in fresh condition, despite some foxing, particularly on the first four leaves and in the catalogue. The top cap has been reinforced. A fine cartonnage binding. A very fine copy possessing all the features of the first edition, but with the back cover lacking the palmette decorations.
