VERNE (Jules). The Mysterious Island. Paris, Hetzel, n.d. [1875, catalogue No. 1, not numbered as it should be]. Banner-style cardboard binding, with a lilac coat of arms on a light green background. The interior is in fresh condition, though not without some minor wear, including two very small, pale, angular water stains. The binding is in fresh condition. Repairs to the top cap and a few touch-ups. A fine copy of the first edition of this masterpiece in a rare colour.
