Game – [War of 1914]. War Lotto. Paris, L. V. Cie, 1915. Twelve cards, oblong format 23.3 x 12.5 cm. Central colour illustration, two side strips of four numbers. A complete set of lotto cards dedicated to soldiers of the First World War. Twelve illustrations depicting soldiers in action, with captions in French and English. Eight cards are dedicated to French soldiers, two to Belgian soldiers, and two to British soldiers (including New Zealanders). Illustrations based on watercolours by Paul Thiriat, an engraver, painter and illustrator who was then a war correspondent; he worked in particular for the British newspaper *The Sphere*, whose copyright appears on some of the plates. A rare set.
