Set of 6 Buster Brown albums. c. 1910. 6 oblong folio-sized albums, cloth-bound spines, illustrated hardback covers Including 3 in the English version published by Dean & Son: *Buster Brown, his dog Tige and their jolly times*; *Buster Brown and his pets*; *Buster Brown’s funny tricks*; and 3 in French translation distributed by Hachette: *Les Dernières farces de Buster Brown* and 2 copies of *Buster Brown chez lui* (with a different cover). Some more or less inevitable signs of wear: covers slightly soiled (one cover restored), small corner losses, a partially detached hinge, a few slight foxing spots and small marginal tears in places… otherwise a charming set. First published in 1902 in the pages of the *New York Herald*, the *Buster Brown* comic strip recounts the adventures and pranks of a young American boy from a well-to-do family.
