[Following this] A precious compendium of Adonhiramite Freemasonry, containing the Three Points of Scottish Rite Freemasonry, the Knight of the East and the True Rosicrucian, which have never before been printed; preceded by the Three Chosen Ones and followed by the Noachite, or the Prussian Knight, translated from the German; enriched with a summary of the history of these Degrees. Dedicated to learned Freemasons, by a Knight of all Masonic Orders. [Following this] True Masonry by Adoption, preceded by some reflections on irregular Lodges and on civil society, with critical and philosophical notes; and followed by Masonic hymns; dedicated to the ladies. Philadelphia, Philarethe, 1786. 3 parts bound in 1 small 12mo volume, marbled sheepskin, smooth spine decorated with Masonic symbols, triple cold-stamped fillet framing the covers with Masonic symbols in the spandrels, gilt fillet on the edges. A counterfeit on ordinary paper of the second edition, featuring fleurons with titles different from those described by Fesch and, consequently, the expected absence of the two frontispieces. (Fesch 720; Caillet 4847.) A fine copy in a lovely contemporary binding featuring Masonic symbols, with some minor wear.
