[Following this:] Masonic Rule for the use of United and Rectified Lodges, adopted at the General Convent of Wilhelmsbad. The Hague, Van Laak, 1787 – The Hague, Van Cleef, 5797. 2 parts bound in 1 in-12 volume, marbled calfskin, gilt border framing the covers, medallion with the initials ‘LBA’ in the centre of the front cover, the same medallion with a Masonic motif in the centre of the back cover, ribbed spine decorated with Masonic symbols (sun, moon, star, swords, mallets), gilt roulette on the edges, gilt and chiselled edges. A new edition, illustrated with a Masonic vignette on the title page by Boily, substantially expanded and revised, of this rare collection of Masonic songs first published in 1763. Fifty songs in Dutch and 270 in French depict the life of Freemasons, the various lodges, ceremonies and entertainments, etc. (Caillet III11165.) A superb and interesting copy in a curious contemporary Masonic binding bearing the cipher LBA (La Bien Aimée, a lodge based in Amsterdam).
