Small 8vo (17 x 11 cm), 8–494 pp., 1 blank folio, 40 pp., light calfskin, decorated ribbed spine, title label, gilt roulette on the edges, red edges (18th-century binding). First edition edited and annotated by Henri ESTIENNE. First part in Greek, second part comprising annotations in Latin. Brunet mentions a third part of 432 pp., which is not present in this copy. Engraved ex-libris by Schurer PH. Paris, wet stamp by Gio. Rossi on the title page. Top cap worn away, half-bounds partially split, corners worn, slight marginal water-stain; otherwise a fine copy of this ‘esteemed and rare edition’ (Brunet, II, 719; Renouard, Estienne, 134).
