LARCHEY (Lorédan). Accounts of a Parisian budget. The wardrobe and furnishings of an elegant lady in 1869. Paris, Henry, 1870. Small in-12 (11.6 x 6.8 cm), 64 pp., lemon-coloured half-maroquin in the Bradel style, smooth spine with title in black o’ezer, light lemon-coloured paper covers, covers and spine preserved (Boichot). A curious little booklet, printed in a small number of copies on laid paper, detailing the expenditure on clothing and furnishings of a fashionable lady of the Second Empire. This work forms part of the series ‘Documents for the History of Our Customs’ published by Lorédan Larchey. From the Kilian Fritsch collection, bearing his bookplate. Scattered, very slight foxing; minor flaws to the covers, but otherwise a fine, attractively bound copy. (Lacombe, no. 1197).
