[Magazine]. *Le Follet*, salon newsletter. Paris, 1839–1840. Large 8vo (25.2 x 17 cm), 78 plates, black and mauve marbled paper in the Bradel style, smooth spine, red title label, speckled edges. A collection of 78 colour plates depicting women’s and men’s costumes and accessories, taken from *Le Follet*, one of the most famous fashion magazines of the nineteenth century. The plates bear the London address ‘Court Magazine, No. 11, Carey Street, Lincoln’s Inn, and are numbered out of sequence: 786–787, 789–816, 818–825 (including a duplicate of no. 811), 844–863, 865–867 and 874–885; four plates, lacking the address, are unnumbered.
