[SAULT (Léon)]. L’Aquarelle-mode. Paris, [Léon Sault], 1866–1867. In-4 (32.6 x 24.7 cm) comprising 51 plates, in black half-basane, smooth spine decorated with gilt fillets (contemporary binding). Almost complete first year of this very rare luxury publication, comprising 51 lithographs enhanced with watercolour (out of 52), on heavy paper with a glossy reverse, set within captioned scrolls. They appeared from July 1866 to June 1867. Plate 43 is missing. Ex-libris G. Sabattini. Spine rubbed and cracked with small losses, a few foxing spots; the borders of nos. 20, 22, 26, 34 and 38 are missing; otherwise a fine copy. (Colas, 142; Hiler, 34).
