Oblong folio (36 x 55 cm), 19 colour plates of uniforms, mounted on paper, missing the printed cover which serves as the title page, fawn-coloured half-leather, title ‘Die Bayerische Armee’ in gilt lettering in the centre of the upper cover (publisher’s binding). Spine missing. The first of three series compiled by Ludwig Behringer (1824–1903) on the Bavarian Army. (Colas I, 274.)
