Square 8vo, 78 pp. and 18 plates, marbled calfskin, richly decorated ribbed spine, large gilt metal fittings on the covers, roulette on the edges, gilt edges (contemporary binding). Text in the form of a three-column table (commands, formation, exercise) entitled ‘Exercise, Part Two’, followed by 18 watercolour diagrams. Ex-libris of Viscount de Blangy, Château de Juvigny, near Tilly-sur-Seille (Calvados). Split clasp, head cap torn off; otherwise a fine copy, beautifully bound.
