Second edition following that published in The Hague in 1732, probably a reissue. The work consists of four treatises: ‘On the Column’; ‘On the Combination of Different Arms in the Army’; ‘Refutation of the Chevalier de Folard’s Reply. Evidence of the Flaw in his Tactics’; ‘Dissertation on the Order of Battle of Caesar and Pompey at the Battle of Pharsalus’. A fine copy.
