In-8, comprising (4) folios, xxi pages, (1) folio, iii, 336 pages, ½ light brown sheepskin with corner caps, decorated ribbed spine, author’s label and title label in red and green marbled paper. A few scuffs. The illustrations consist of 20 separate plates printed on China paper and numerous vignettes within the text. First edition, printed in a run of 500 numbered copies; no. 386 of 465 on Holland paper. (Vicaire, VII, 985.)
