First edition, printed in a run of 480 numbered copies; no. 368 of 459 on white vellum. Portrait of the fencing master Bertrand engraved as a frontispiece, and ornamental woodcut vignettes throughout the text by Pannemaker. Foxing. Author’s ‘E.A.S.’ on the half-title page.
