Anonymous. Treatise on the privileges of the districts of Rome where the King’s ambassadors reside, and on the excommunication which the Pope claims the Marquis de Lavardin has incurred. No place, no year. In-12, marbled paper cover (19th-century binding). An 18th-century manuscript of 75 folios, in very legible handwriting, unsigned and undated. A curious document concerning a dispute relating, on the one hand, to the privileges claimed by the French Crown and, on the other, to the Pope’s conduct towards the King and his ambassador. In good condition. Minor flaws to the binding.
