Education. [Collection on freedom of education]. Paris, 1828–1845. 6 items in two 8vo volumes, in brick-red half-basane, smooth spines decorated with gilt fillets, speckled edges (contemporary binding). Spines uniformly sun-faded, but a good copy. The Restoration and, above all, the July Monarchy were a period of intense struggle by Catholics to regain freedom of education at all levels, which had been curtailed by the university monopoly established by Napoleon.
