This collection contains rare or curious texts dating from the 16th to the early 18th century: royal or parliamentary acts, petitions, battle reports, diplomatic documents and correspondence, documents relating to the regions of France, anecdotes and news items (horrific crimes, sometimes tinged with the fantastical), details of political life in France and Europe, scientific essays, etc.
