[BERJONNEAU (Jehan)]. Landscapes of Our Region: Montmorillon, Châtellerault, Civray and Poitiers. Montmorillon, Georges Neuville, master printer, 1932. In-4, richly decorated red shagreen, featuring on the front cover, within a frame of gilt fillets and blind-stamped scrolls, a large frame with a gilt geometric design, at the centre of which is a circular medallion with a polychrome floral motif in relief on a cream morocco background in reserve, bearing the bookbinder’s signature, gilded fillets and blind-stamped scrolls on the back cover, ribbed spine, gilded title and illustrator’s name, gilded headband, covers and spine preserved, slipcase (Saint André). Original woodcuts in several tones engraved by Jehan Berjonneau. Printed in an edition of 550 copies on Vidalon vellum (copy no. 27). Autographed copy sent by the illustrator to Louis Avinain. Copy enhanced with an ORIGINAL SIGNED WATERCOLOUR. A very fine copy in a remarkable mosaic binding by Ambroise Saint André de Lignereux (1861–1936). Sent by the bookbinder, signed ‘Saint André, Medal of Honour from the Salon des Artistes Français’.
