Almanac of Parisian Fashions and Customs, followed by a Description of Portuguese Characters, Customs and Costumes. Seventh year. Paris, published by Rosa (printed by Cosson), 1820. In-18 (13 x 8.5 cm), pink cardboard binding illustrated by the publisher, gilt edges, in a matching slipcase. 6 plates of fashions, including one as a frontispiece (hats), and 2 plates of Portuguese costumes, all enhanced at the time. Published between 1814 and 1822, this almanac contains entries on the theatre, salons, and the addresses of milliners, florists, dressmakers, linen makers, etc., as well as a study of a people from whom fashion draws inspiration (in this case, the Portuguese).
