DUMAS (Alexandre) & MAQUET (Auguste). The Three Musketeers. A drama in five acts and twelve scenes. Preceded by *L’Auberge de Béthune*, a prologue. An illustrated edition featuring five fine woodcut vignettes. Drawn by Alex. Lacauchie and wood-engraved by H. Faxardo. Subjects of the vignettes: 1. The Confession of the Executioner of Béthune. – 2. The Escape of the Musketeers. – 3. The Farewell of Charles I. – 4. Cromwell’s House. – 5. The Death of Mordaunt. Paris, Marchant, 1846.

First illustrated edition of this stage adaptation of *Twenty Years After*. A large vignette at the top of the first page and four separate plates.
