Paris, Didot l’aîné, 1816. 3 vols. in-8, red morocco, decorated ribbed spine, title and volume number in gold, place and date at the foot, triple gilt border framing the covers, gilt edges, interior lace (Chambolle-Duru). A fine edition printed by Didot on vellum paper, illustrated with a frontispiece and 56 frontispiece plates, engraved after Girodet, Gérard, etc., and here further enriched with a portrait and 12 engravings by Moreau the Younger. (A few rare foxing spots.) A superb copy in a full morocco binding by Chambolle-Duru. Ex-libris Henri Bordes, Bordeaux.
