In-12 Bradel binding in green Empire-style long-grain half-maroquin with corners, spine very finely decorated with a gilded motif of mosaic-style florets, title label in blue maroquin, date at the tail, gilded fillet, covers preserved (E. Carayon). First edition, featuring a portrait of the author engraved as a frontispiece by A. Lamotte, printed in a run of 300 copies on large-format paper. A very fine presentation copy presented to the publisher Georges Decaux, perfectly prepared by Carayon.
