NODIER (Charles). *Histoire du chien de Brisquet*. Paris, Édouard Pelletan, 1900. Quarto, fawn half-shagreen with a band, ribbed spine, illustrated covers preserved. First edition, ‘preceded by a Letter to Jeanne by Anatole France’. Illustrated with 25 drawings by Steinlen. A total of 177 copies were printed; this one is unnumbered. Some scuffing to the covers, caps and corners, and foxing on the endpapers; otherwise a very good copy, in very fresh condition internally, of this fine work, sought after as much for its illustrations as for its preface.
