In-8, caramel-coloured half-maroquin, smooth spine with author’s name and title in silver lettering, sets of vertical silver and blind-stamped bands on the covers, a wide blind-stamped border, beautiful gold- and silver-marbled paper on a black background on the remainder of the covers, silver headband, cover and spine preserved (Lucie Edgar-Faure). Caricatures of figures from the literary world by Gus Bofa, full-page engravings coloured by stencil. Print run of 1,225 copies; no. 20 of the 20 head copies on Japon paper, here enhanced with: - an E.A.S. from the author/artist to Mr Armand Dorville ‘whose taste for Guys I share [...]’ - a handwritten letter from Gus Bofa to the same, 4 pp. in-12, adorned with a lovely ORIGINAL DRAWING of a dog on the first page - a beautiful ORIGINAL WATERCOLOUR (a pair of horsemen from the Second Empire) - a handwritten curriculum vitae by Armand Dorville.
