Sets comprising 7 sheets of text printed on the front only (before the initials) (pages 43, 79, 83, 89, 145, 155 and 169) and 7 lithographed plates (3 in colour and 4 in black). In a reused portfolio. Excerpts from the first edition (or perhaps a proof or specimen copy) of the artist’s travel journals. The final edition, accompanied by a poem by Louis Aragon, is illustrated with 28 lithographs by the author and was printed in a run of 291 copies on Arches vellum.
