NIELSEN (Kay) & GRIMM (Jacob & Wilhelm). Snow White and Other Tales. Paris, Édition d’art H. Piazza, 1929. Quarto, paperback, illustrated cover with a pasted-in insert (very small tear, restored). Print run of 2,400 copies; no. 1,996 of the 2,000 in the standard print run, featuring 12 beautiful colour illustrations by Kay Nielsen, mounted as inserts. This Danish illustrator (1886–1957) was hired in 1939 by Disney Studios to work on the storyboards for several films, including the masterpiece *Fantasia*. Foxing on the pages featuring the snakes (not affecting the illustrations or the text). A fine copy.
