CALLOT (Jacques). [Battle at La Barrière, by Henry Humbert.] [Nancy], [1627]. Set of 5 engravings: - Entry of Monseigneur Henry de Lorraine, Marquis de Moÿ, under the name of Pirandre, signed “Jac. Callot fe.”, mounted on board, with a small ink stamp on the reverse (“E.L.”), without margins or mount, trimmed at the corners (ref. Meaume 498, “copy made by the master, on a smaller scale”) + a later copy of a detail from the engraving (depicting, in reverse, a chariot drawn by a dragon) - Second Entry of Charles IV, mounted on a board, with a small ink stamp on the reverse (“E.L.”), without margins or a border, trimmed at one corner (ref. Meaume 500). - Battle at the barrier, mounted on board, with a small wet ink stamp on the reverse (“E.L.”), without margins, cut to the border (ref. Meaume 501) + the same, heavily cut (in a tympanum shape) with missing sections. Also included is a set of 4 plates (out of 7) from the series *Petites Misères de la Guerre*, mounted in pairs on a board, engraved by Israël [Henriet], without margins, cut to the edge: The Camp (M. 558), The Plundering and Burning of a Village (M. 561), The Peasants’ Revenge (M. 562), The Hospital (M. 563).
