Greece – [BARTHELEMY (Jean-Jacques)]. The Young Anacharsis’s Journey to Greece, in the Mid-Fourth Century Before the Common Era. Paris, De Bure l’aîné, 1789. 7 vols. in-8 of text and 1 vol. in-4 of atlas, marbled light-coloured calfskin, plain spine with decoration, title page, blind-stamped border framing the covers, red edges (contemporary binding). Second edition. The 31 plates in the atlas are broken down as follows: 24 maps and topographical plans (including 9 with coloured outlines), 5 architectural plans and views, a view of Cape Sounion and a plate of medals. Bindings damaged (leather missing in places), faint water stains on some plates.
