Description
[MOLA Gaiters]. The Mola Gaiter Transforms the Man. Paris, Henon, [1913]. Stapled in-8 leaflet, illustrated cover. Advertising brochure for Mola gaiters, whose factories, founded by Molon, were located in Graville (Le Havre). It features a schematic diagram, drawn by Mich, showing in turn the trousers that ‘quickly lose their shape’, the gaiter without the Mola mechanism which “becomes misshapen”, and the fleece band which “does not retain its shape”, concluding with “only the Mola gaiter transforms me”. It is illustrated with a double-page colour composition by Laroche, showing figures wearing the Mola gaiter for ‘sports’ alongside a view of Le Havre taken from Sainte-Adresse, and various black-and-white illustrations, including interior views of the company’s different departments. A fine copy. Ex-libris KF.
